Elders
According to New Testament scriptures, Elders are individuals recognized for their spiritual maturity, and 'set' before the people as teachers and leaders.
AEC have chosen 4 men from our membership, who work as a team, given with the task of bringing believers to maturity, and leading them by their teaching and example.
Deacons
These 6 men are chosen by the congregation of AEC, with the function of assisting the leadership in ministering to the needs of the local church.
They are, in effect, servants to the congregation.
Our members are drawn from all strands of society and although our numbers are growing, a central tenet of our belief is that every single member of our church is important.
In a society that is fragmenting and falling apart, it is good to know that Ards Evangelical Church provides a spiritual home and a church family to support us all.
